Yoko Ono

Yoko Ono: interviewed by Liza Cowan and Jan Albert.

by Jolene Beiser, Project Archivist

I’m LOVING this interview with Yoko Ono from September 11, 1971! It’s part of our NHPRC grant project:  American Women Making History and Culture and is currently being preserved through the UC Berkeley Library.  In the interview, Ono talks about her art, her life, and discusses the question “what is art” (John Lennon pipes in on this question). Plus the interview is by two women, which sets a unique tone. You can listen to it streaming through the UC Berkeley Library here. (Please be patient while the Real Player loads).

Enjoy!
